**The role**:
The objective of this role is to help shape and deliver initiatives to maximise the value of business solutions. Through our purpose, our decisions and actions will deliver the best outcomes for our business. This is done via:

- Playing Product Owner role for the Statutory Classes business
- Working with senior Statutory Classes stakeholders to understand their business drivers and prioritise our flight plan accordingly.
- Leveraging Group capabilities to innovate and optimise solutions that enable the business to deliver its strategies and targets.
- Collaborating with various functional partners to assist in the operationalisation of short to long term strategic business objectives to ensure the growth of Statutory Classes business.
- Proactively assisting with delivering solutions to our systems and platforms for the Statutory Classes business, while minimising any risks and maximising benefits.

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to;**
- Assist in the development, and cost, initiatives and solutions to deliver on key strategic objectives.
- Manage Statutory Classes business concept and solution design requirements across the Program of Work and facilitate the resource allocation and prioritisation of the work to achieve the required business outcomes.
- Identify and evaluate solution capability and innovation across the Group and the external market to identify opportunities and threats to the Statutory Classes strategy.
- Operate in a shared environment that aligns understanding of Statutory Classes business strategy across contributing functional partners.
- Provide program / project support as required, including Product Ownership, Project management, SME, champion, supporting role duties.
- Represents Statutory Classes in all prioritisation forums supporting existing business solution assets to drive delivery in alignment with business benefits.
- Follow project management principals, for all in-flight and potential projects ensuring compliance with Insurance Operations PMO and Project PMOs.
- Adhering to the Group’s risk and compliance frameworks to ensure appropriate risk severities are applied and proven controls are in place.
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with the technology domains to assist with defining and delivering sustainable architecture.
- Guide our stakeholders throughout the initiative lifecycle by providing expertise to drive and develop optimal, cost-effective and high value solutions.
- Work across team, the wider Statutory Classes and Suncorp to collaboratively solve issues, take opportunities and promote new ideas for consideration.

**Skills & Experience**
- Relevant degree in Business, Commerce, Technology or related field (desired).
- Minimum three (3) years appropriate industry experience in general insurance (mandatory).
- Experience representing business stakeholders in agile system development / enhancements translating product objectives into technology and process requirements.
- Knowledge of the agile methodology and iterative development lifecycle (Jira platform).
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and oral). Able to communicate complex issues in concise and simple terms to a large range of audiences, with confidence and in appropriate formats.
- Clear understanding of the personal injury products, industry, market environment and customer segment.
