About the team & role:
We have an exciting opportunity for “Data Analyst” at Reed Exhibitions (RX Global), who will play a pivotal role in our Digital and Central Marketing team and work with key stakeholders across Marketing, Digital, Sales and IT.

The primary focus of the role is building segments in audience builder, doing statistical analysis, and produce Business Insights based on our live event metrics. You will play an active role in the enhancements of our business and customer insights platform and be responsible for the accuracy of its analysis.

This is a maternity backfill role for a 9-month contract to be based in Sydney with the possibility of combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance.

Key responsibilities include:
- Create basic segments on Oracle Business Intelligence platform - OBIEE: adding criteria blocks to various segments for sales, marketing, and event production complex requirements. Save the segments in an organised way with proper naming convention for marketing campaigns.- Quantitative and qualitative data: Customer research including survey design, survey analysis, and market research.- Maintaining and validating new capabilities for our BI platform (Power BI dashboard)- Upholding standardised audit processes and enhancing data collection procedures (internally & 3rd party).- Data Governance: Processing, auditing and cleansing the integrity of data used for analysis- Combining multiple datasets to produce performance analysis of each of our events, including reporting on Marketing-specific metrics- Digital: Ensuring pre-event digital processes are set up consistently and data collection standards are adhered to.- Ad-hoc analysis: produce research/report requests from the show teams and senior management for non-standard requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 2+ years of experience working with data and analytics with background in Computer Science/IT/Database or equivalent.- Excellent understanding of Excel, OBIEE, Power BI, Eloqua, SalesForce, Google Analytics, SQL language is highly advantageous.- Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation platforms is well regarded.- Demonstrated analytical and statistics skills is essential.- Data-oriented personality with a creative and analytical mind.- Great presentation and communication skills.- Technically sound and be able to work under pressure.- Outstanding time management skills and the ability to adapt and be flexible to changing environments.
