**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the development and implementation of procurement policies and processes
- Provide clear, expert advice to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices
- Oversee the full lifecycle of tenders and sourcing events, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Foster strong working relationships across departments and with suppliers
- Supervise and support one direct report in delivering efficient and effective procurement support
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement systems and practices**

**Skills, Attributes and Experience**:

- Demonstrated experience in a procurement leadership role, ideally within a local government or government trading enterprise (GTE)
- Degree Qualified in Commerce, Business, Law or related industry
- Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, frameworks, and tendering processes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
- A collaborative and down-to-earth approach to problem solving
- A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering community value
