**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Due to on-going projects and growth, Warrikal are currently seeking an experienced
**Procurement Manager **to lead our Procurement function.

This role will ensure all Procurement policies, procedures and strategies are current and aligned to business requirements and take ownership for all sourcing and negotiation of suppliers to ensure efficiency across the business.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Lead, mentor and manage the Procurement team.
- Perform all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiation of supplier agreements, preparation of contracts.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders, including client representatives and third-party suppliers and vendors.
- Review and update procurement policies, plans, strategies, and contract strategies as required.
- Negotiation of all supply & service agreement for the business.
- Forecast purchasing requirements.
- Seek methods and/or systems to ensure continuous improvement in the Procurement space.
- Ensure products and resources are assigned and billed to the appropriate business unit.
- Ad hoc travel to and from our Newman and Port Hedland Yards as required.

**ABOUT YOU**
You will be a switched on, highly organised individual with extensive people management experience and strong negotiation skills. In addition to this you will have the following:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Procurement Management within the mining or construction industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management and/or Procurement discipline
- Previous team management experience, leading, developing, and supporting a team of direct reports.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence key decision makers
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of materials management systems
- Knowledge of mining requirements for PPE, tooling, and vehicles.
- Happy to get hands-on in the office or warehouse to assist with ad hoc tasks.
- Someone who takes initiative, a self-starter, and a problem solver.

**Desirable Qualities**:

- Pronto Experience (software)
- Forklift License
