**The Role**
Our growing Melbourne office is in search of a Business Support Manager in a full-time capacity, who will be motivated to support the Melbourne region. This will be someone who has a dynamic and confident personality and who is keen to learn, grow and be a supportive member of our team.

This position in our Melbourne office will be responsible for overseeing office operations, project administration, client support work and fostering a positive office culture. The Business Support Manager is expected to lead by example, embodying Northrop’s core values in all interactions and decisions. Additionally, the role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and an empathy for the unique situations for the people working from the local office.

Based in our Melbourne office, you will be joining a fast-paced, busy office and will enjoy operating with an appropriate level of autonomy, reporting to the Melbourne Manager.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Manage and develop the local support team, ensuring high engagement and retention through clear delegation, consistent position descriptions, performance feedback, and salary management.
- Monitor individual and team performance, provide support and training, and promote collaboration with shared services to enhance productivity.
- Oversee all aspects of office management, including facilities, equipment, IT, and utilities, ensuring a clean, healthy, and functional work environment.
- Deliver comprehensive onboarding for new staff and manage offboarding processes in line with company policies.
- Coordinate staff events, support office communications, respond to general queries, and ensure WHS compliance and budget monitoring.
- Provide administrative and project setup support, manage local business development initiatives, and assist with client events and data updates as directed by the local leader.
- Recognised qualifications in Business Administration, management or similar.
- Proven experience in office management or business support roles.
- Strong planning and time management skills.
- Proficient at business software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel. Proven ability to learn and utilise new software and upgrades.
- Demonstrated track record in building effective relationships within office and across offices and central services.
- Able to confidently manage people and build teams.
