The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Business Support Manager to provide a critical role within the Southeast Metro Region.

**About the Business Unit**

The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, comprising Corrections Victoria (CV), Justice Health and Justice Services, plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.

The South Area Network accounts for approximately 500 staff over 14 locations. The non-custodial locations are located at Bairnsdale, Cranbourne, Dandenong, Frankston, Lilydale, Morwell, Moorabbin, Pakenham, Ringwood, Rosebud, Sale, Warragul and Wonthaggi, with Dandenong and Morwell also being the Regional Offices. Wulgunggo Ngalu Learning Place, a residential program location, is based at Macks Creek near Yarram.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate Services, the Business Support Manager role forms part of the southeast metro area's Corporate Services, which supports service delivery for the Area within the Department of Justice and Community Safety. Accordingly, the role is required to provide service support and respond to the business needs in partnership with the executive leadership team for the area.

The role is responsible for the development and implementation of systems and processes for various corporate services related objectives and portfolios including Business Support, Emergency Management, and Facilities and Security Management across southeast metro Area to support the area's service delivery goals. This role will also lead the business support teams in delivering a high quality of service to staff, stakeholders and clients, whilst continuously improving services.

The Business Support Manager will need to develop strong relationships with program managers and stakeholders across the area to gain a comprehensive understanding of service requirements and negotiate outcomes. The role manages a range of sensitive and confidential information and is required to prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines whilst being proficient in maintaining accurate records and documenting processes.

This is an Area-wide role incorporating Southeast Metro Region and Gippsland Region.

As the Business Support Manager, some of your duties will include:

- Developing and implementing systems and processes which ensure that facilities, assets and other key business resources are in place to support the area's service delivery goals.
- Providing expertise and strategic direction in the delivery of diverse and complex business services support functions delivered by a large team of Justice Officers, across multiple program areas and service delivery locations to a high standard to ensure a professional customer focused service meets the needs and expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing leadership and guidance to Business Support Supervisors to ensure a well-managed deployment of Justice Officer resource align to our service delivery needs across the area.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- The demonstrated ability to manage a multi-disciplinary service delivery team across various locations.
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure and asset management would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of Victoria's emergency management arrangements and underpinning legislation would be highly regarded.

**Qualifications**
- A qualification in a business discipline is desirable but not mandatory.
- A full Victorian driver's licence.
