About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Business Growth, the Business Development Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the establishment and management of the talent pipeline and lead business growth talent acquisition to help Abt Australia win new projects in line in with Abt's growth and diversification objectives. The Specialist will also play a broader role within the business growth function, including strengthening management systems throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from identification through to mobilisation.

Specific responsibilities for the role span proactively building and maintaining talent pools, developing resource strategies for new programs, identifying, and recruiting personnel for new program proposals, and building HR costing strategies for proposals.

The **Business Development Talent Acquisition Specialist **will be responsible for:

- Provide specialist HR advice, guidance and support into proposal development processes,
- Develop competitive resourcing strategies, team structures and skills matrixes for new programs within Abt's pipeline, and ensure resourcing strategies meet inclusion guidelines and targets,
- Lead the research of local labour laws and employment conditions in new countries and develop competitive locally engaged staff remuneration and benefits frameworks.
- Engage with business leaders and conduct necessary research to gain insight into client needs and expectations.
- Link in with the broader People & Culture workforce planning activities to understand existing talent within Abt-led programs and promote cross program moves where appropriate ,
- Contribute to strategies for delivering on Abt's corporate agenda for promoting gender equity and pay parity, enhancing localisation, and further strengthening social inclusion within new program.
- Manage end-to-end talent acquisition processes to attract, identify and secure high-quality talent for proposals and ensure team composition addresses client needs and equity requirements,
- Conduct market research and undertake capture trips to identify personnel, understand contextual challenges, operating environment and inform accurate financial costings ,
- Build and strengthen international country networks to develop a talent pipeline, promote the reputational capital of Abt Associates and build relationships with potential partners,
- Lead mobilisation activities of new programs in-country with a focus on People & Culture activities.

About You

We are seeking an individual who will bring:

- Relevant qualifications with proven track record in professional People & Culture experience,
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative resourcing strategies across diverse countries and cultures,
- Demonstrated success acquiring domestic and international talent for proposals and existing programs and projects, with a preference for DFAT and other donor funded programs,
- Ability to prioritise, plan and organise workflow to tight timeframes, handle multiple tasks, and be flexible with changing priorities,How to Apply
