AE Capital is an innovative and award-winning systematic hedge fund operating cross-asset systematic trading strategies across the world’s most liquid markets.
We are looking for highly-motivated individuals with experience in Trading Operations (including Middle & Back Office) and a passion for financial markets to join our Melbourne-based team in a fun, fast-paced, and dynamic working environment.
Trading Operations sits at the centre of our 24/5 trading activities and is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the fund’s 24/5 trading activities, monitoring global markets, and preparing for the unexpected. You are the first line of defence against any outage or issue and the person most knowledgeable about current market conditions. Your input will be key to helping us continually improve our processes, trading efficiency and operational resilience. You will develop relationships with service providers including Banks, Brokers, Liquidity Providers, Prime Brokers, Data and Technology Vendors and more.
**_Requirements/Qualifications:_**
- Trading Operations experience (Trade Desk/Trade Support) is a must
- Previous experience in trading and electronic markets in FX, Futures or Equities a plus
- Familiarity with Fund Operations, Middle and Back Office processes will make you a standout
- Strong Interest in global financial markets
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to exercise good judgment and pro-active decision-making in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Self-driven with a strong work ethic, with the ability to research, identify and solve problems independently or with mínimal assistance
- Demonstrable analytic & quantitative skills
- Full-Time position with opportunities for advancement
