Taking on the role of GTRF Services Associate, you will join a varied fast paced environment, where you will liaise with HSBC colleagues across the globe, being responsible for providing high quality trade operations support to the business.

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Utilising your knowledge of international rules and trade transactions to review documents for compliance against letters of credit and working with customers to ensure compliance.
- Ensuring the delivery of superior customer service by processing trade finance transactions.
- Reviewing transactions for adherence to financial crime policies and regulatory requirements
- Utilising your technical skills and knowledge to manage operational risk and support our customers in mitigating risk.
- Liaising with relationship managers and other internal departments, ensuring maximum productivity and compliance to guidelines, SLA and audit requirements, deliver ongoing superior customer service.

Requirements

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- An excellent understanding of trade finance at an operational level, including industry standards, applicable international rules (such as UCP/ISBP/URR/ URC) and local market, legal and regulatory requirements is essential.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of trade finance operations with solid operational experience in trade operations and awareness of the typical structures of trade facilities and customer trade cycles.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine customer service focus, with the flexibility and desire to learn in a collaborative team environment.
- An enthusiastic nature and excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon influencing and negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail, working independently in a high volume, deadline driven environment.
