**Your new role**
This 12 month contract is to support the internal investments by ensuring IBOR cash balances and securities positions are reconciled. You will also have the opportunity to support other team members in trade operations functions that require trades to be processed and captured in all systems in a timely manner so that IBOR and ABOR have an accurate investment book of record for the management of the individual portfolios.
Although this is a 12 month contract there is the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:

- Be aware of, raise and mitigate operational risks within team processes.
- Conduct reconciliation of cash balances and securities positions daily. Analyse breaks or matching issue and follow up with the relevant party(ies) to resolve cash or position breaks.
- Assist Cash Operations with cash projection query.
- Support and supervise post trade matching process conducted by Middle Office provider for all instruments including Equity, Fixed Income, ETDs, FX Forwards and OTCs.
- Ensure all trades are captured by appropriate systems and reporting accurately and on a timely manner.
- Timely and accurate processing of new Loans, OTC trades, lifecycles and settlements.
- Assist in overseeing the delivery of transaction management and valuation processes provided by the Middle Office provider.
- Conduct daily regulatory reporting to ASIC via third party vendor system

**What you’ll need**
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or Accounting disciplines with a major in Finance
- **1-4 years’ experience within a buy side fund manager or superannuation industry**:

- **Good understanding on the workings of various financial instruments such as Equity, Fixed Income, Loans, Futures etc**:

- Possess effective communication skills within Investment Operations environment
- Exposure to reconciliation platforms such as Aladdin Cash Master or Smartstream TLM
