About the Role

You will manage trading performance for battery storage projects, drive improvements in an automated trading platform, optimize revenues, and support the transition to renewable energy. Key responsibilities include:


  • Oversee BESS trading performance in the AEMO market and lead a team of trading analysts.
  • Develop high-impact analytical projects that guide trading strategy, algorithm development, and market expansion.
  • Collaborate with optimization and software teams to design reusable tools and workflows.
  • Document trading processes to enhance team and asset performance.
  • Share fleet performance insights with internal teams, customers, and external organizations.
  • Analyse evolving market designs and policy changes to assess their impact on storage monetization.

Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of physical or financial trading experience in Australian electricity markets.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, and Jupyter Notebooks for data analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach.
