**DBM Sales Manager Role**
The DBM Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving sales growth and managing customer relationships within the company. The position is responsible for overseeing sales activities, meeting sales targets, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to hardware store customers.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Develop Business with Hardware Store Customers**:
- **Tailored Presentations**: Develop engaging and informative presentations specifically tailored for hardware store customers. Highlight the unique benefits and features of DBM products relevant to home building and construction.
- **Relationship Building**: Establish and maintain strong, enduring relationships with hardware store customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Regularly follow up to address any concerns and gather feedback.
- **Sales and Marketing**: Analyze sales statistics to identify trends and opportunities within the hardware store market. Develop strategies to approach and convert new leads into clients.
- **Product Expertise**: Gain in-depth knowledge of DBM's core products, including steel reinforcing, Rediwall, Hebel, concrete rendering products, EPS panels, waffle pods, concrete sleepers, bag cement, and formwork products. Serve as the primary contact for hardware store customers seeking detailed product information.
- **Target Setting and Reporting**: Set realistic sales targets at the beginning of each quarter for each product and report on must-deliverables at the end of each quarter. Track and report sales figures in Smart sheets, including all communications with hardware store customers.
- **Coordination with Internal Teams**: Collaborate with DBM’s logistics, procurement, and accounts teams to ensure product availability, timely deliveries, and accurate invoicing for hardware store customers.
- **Set and Achieve Sales Targets**:
- Set realistic sales targets and work diligently to achieve or exceed them.
- Track and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.
- **Manage Client Accounts**:
- Oversee and manage client accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Address any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
- **Budget Management**:
- Manage budgets related to sales activities, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources to achieve business goals.
- **Stay Updated on Industry Trends**:
- Keep abreast of industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay connected and informed.
**Skills and Competencies**:
- **Communication and Negotiation**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and stakeholders. Strong negotiation skills to secure deals and partnerships.
- **Analytical and Strategic Thinking**: Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic plans for sales growth.
- **Relationship and Project Management**: Proficiency in building and maintaining long-term relationships and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- **Sales Skills**: Proven ability to drive sales and achieve targets.
**Typical Activities**:
- Meeting with clients and partners to discuss their needs and potential opportunities.

- Developing business proposals and presentations.
- Networking at industry events and conferences.

- Monitoring and reporting on sales performance.
**Compensation and Contract Details**:
- **Salary**: $90,000 plus benefits.
- **Location**: 79 George Street, Parramatta, NSW 2150.
- **Contract Review**: The role will be reviewed in December 2024 by the company CEO and General Manager to assess its financial viability moving forward.
**Requirements for DBM Sales Manager Role**:
- **Minimum Experience**:
- At least 2 years of experience in sales or a related role
Pay: Up to $90,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
**Experience**:
- Sales management: 2 years (preferred)
