**About the role**

As an External Communications Specialist (Investments), you'll be at the heart of our investment communications strategy, crafting narratives that showcase ART as a world-class investor with leading global capabilities. Your words will captivate a wide range of external audiences, from potential members and financial advisers to ratings agencies and government stakeholders.

But this role goes beyond mere writing - it’s about transforming complex financial concepts into accessible and engaging stories. You'll have the chance to shine with your storytelling talent, simplifying intricate investment topics for various audiences. Whether you’re drafting persuasive commentary updates, crafting impactful speaking notes, responding to escalated ESG enquiries, or creating compelling web content, your work will spearhead ART's communications efforts.

This **permanent** position offers the flexibility to be based in **Brisbane**, **Sydney**, or **Melbourne**.

**About you**

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You have a solid background in investment communications or a similar external communications role, supported by a strong educational foundation in Communications, Public Relations, Investments, or a related field.
- Your journalistic, storytelling, copywriting, and editing skills are top-notch, with a proven ability to simplify complex financial matters for diverse audiences.
- You have demonstrated experience in long-form financial writing, including investment and market commentary updates.
- You can articulate concepts and ideas in a way that persuades, influences, and convinces others, using plain language that resonates with the average investor.
- You are self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
- You possess strong time management skills and the flexibility to work outside standard business hours when needed to meet deadlines.
