**THE COMPANY**
NH Foods is one of Australia’s largest meat processing and marketing companies with multiple sites across the country. They have a long-term presence in the Australian market and play a key role in the national supply chain.

**THE ROLE**
The General Manager is responsible for the overall financial and strategic management of the Oakey Beef Exports plant, including day-to-day operations of the business including all staff, planning, leadership and performance as well as stakeholder management and presence.

This role is responsible for:

- Creating complete business plans for the attainment of goals and objectives;
- Ensuring that the business’ long-term goals and annual objectives are aligned with the wider group goals across the business;
- Forecasting, sales planning, and reporting all delivered at a high level;
- Analysing the businesses financial performance on a regular basis and identifying areas for corrective action;
- The recruitment, training and development and coaching of the staff members required to ensure the successful operations of the business;
- Creating a culture of transparency and communication throughout the business; and
- Ensuring the business is projected as a progressive and trusted organisation to farmers, suppliers, and customers.

**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- Extensive experience in the agriculture industry and beef/livestock supply chain sectors;
- Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Business, or related field;
- Excellent financial literacy, financial management and human resource management skills;
- Extensive knowledge of strategic planning and leadership;
- Exceptional aptitude for verbal and written communication, presentation and staff relationship development;
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to build strong relationships and partnerships with government officials and industry partners.
