Sydney Olympic Park Authority are responsible for the day-to-day management of all public places, 430 hectares of parklands and 7 sporting venues. This includes the management of buildings, facilities and landscape assets, delivery of programs and events, enhancing your experience, provision of sports and leisure facilities, conservation of water, energy and resources, protection of ecosystems, environment and heritage as well as the coordination of the precinct on a daily basis.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Aquatic Operations Officer to join our friendly Sports Venues Team. This role is integral in provideing day to day management and supervision of the Aquatic Centre operations to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of high level events, programs and services. The role will be proactive in providing leadership and direction to all staff ensuring that all areas of the Centre are operating efficiently and with the highest possible level of service.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Assist the Senior Aquatic Operations Leader in the management of the facility in accordance with operational practices, quality systems and audits, legislative regulations and industry guidelines
- Implement and seek continuous improvement of operational systems and procedures and allocate resources to ensure all venue operational requirements are met and maintain high standards of service delivery, venue presentation, safety and security, and undertake corrective and preventative actions to avoid or resolve customer complaints.
- Coordinate and Implement a safe working culture for staff and stakeholders in all areas of venue operations and event delivery including communicating WHS and risk information and promptly resolving or escalating safety and operational issues to the relevant department.
- enhance the delivery of venue bookings and events to meet the needs of internal and external customers and promote positive customer experiences.
- Provide team leadership and supervise the performance of direct reports by setting work objectives, assessing performance and providing feedback, inducting, training and coaching staff to develop capabilities and meet work objectives.
- Maintain effective communication between staff, clients, stakeholders and tenants ensuring operational requirements are clearly outlined and coordinated.
- Implement maintenance and cleaning audits and schedules to ensure regular and proper maintenance and sanitation of public use facilities.
- Ensure adequate supervision for aquatic operations to mitigate risk, meet legislative and operational requirements and meet the service needs of customers.

**Key Knowledge and Experience**
- Current knowledge of legislative requirements for the operation of public swimming pools and experience in aquatic plant, supervision and facility operations
- Proactive in providing leadership and direction to all staff ensuring that all areas of the Centre are operating efficiently and with the highest possible level of service.
- Ability to assist others in performing work by providing motivation, guidance and direction.
- Comply with facility procedures for safety, training, purchasing, document control, quality audits, corrective and preventative action and customer complaints

**Essential Requirements**
- Pool Lifeguard Skill Set (SISSS00111)
- Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001)
- Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID007)
- Aquatic Technical Operator Skill Set (SISSS00110)
- Certificate III in Aquatics and Community Recreation
- Current Driver’s Licence
- A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012**.**
