We currently have a great opportunity for a safety professional to join the team based in Crestmead. This role will see you provide Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) leadership and support to our 10 Food and Liquor sites operating across Queensland including Townsville, Cairns, Mackay and Rockhampton. **In this Role** - Provide strategic advice and support to senior management on SHE and Injury Management programs, policies, and processes, aligning with Metcash SHE Strategy. - Conduct regular site visits to ensure implementation of SHE processes, fostering a culture of 'Safety as a Core Value'. - Collaborate with the QLD Injury Management Advisor to strategize Workers Compensation claims management. - Oversee compliance to training needs analysis and matrices, ensuring relevant training is delivered. - Conduct audits to verify SHE Management System compliance, developing action plans to address identified opportunities in collaboration with pillar leads and sites. **You’re Likely a Match If** you have** - Extensive experience in a safety leadership position - preferably in FMCG, Warehousing, Distribution and Supply Chain - Tertiary qualifications in SHE or a related discipline - ICAM Lead Investigator Certification - SHE Lead Auditor Certification - Proven ability to work effectively with line management to build capability and safety leadership. - Solutions provider, innovator thinker with a continuous improvement mind-set - Demonstrated capability in Injury/Claims Management with preference for Return to Work Coordinator Certification - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs **Life at Metcash** Experience a supportive and flexible work environment.
