**Who we’re looking for**:
A results driven, collaborative and consultative senior procurement leader who is commercially and analytically driven. You are a solid negotiator, who is able to deliver multi-disciplinary solutions in a dynamic environment. Our Group Procurement team needs leaders who foster passion, self-motivation and resilience while encouraging a one team culture.

**What you’ll be doing**:
Reporting to the General Manager Procurement and as a key member of the Group Procurement leadership team, you will lead a large team of category management professionals. You will be overseeing and executing group wide procurement projects, based on sound category strategies that identify and drive outcomes across the entire procurement value chain. You will also be accountable for the successful implementation and development of the designed Strategic Supplier Management Program, ensuring tangible outcomes and a sustainable future with our most strategic suppliers.

Your role will involve:

- Proactively contribute to strategy setting and annual planning, team learning, development and performance management, team engagement as well as the everyday management of the team
- Translate category strategies into robust, prioritised pipelines of work that drive ongoing, sustainable value creation in the short term, as well as provide a strategic view to longer term value creation within each category of spend
- Provide direction and coaching to the team in executing category strategies ensuring that all appropriate processes, including financial, regulatory and ESG commitments, are being applied
- Build and present complex business cases and financial modelling principles which enable critical analysis of Procurement and business-led initiatives
- Ensure ESG commitments and regulatory requirements are embedded in the Category Management teams’ approach
- Provide expert advice to Group wide senior management in relation to the engagement of third-party suppliers and the related commercial arrangements
- Support the evolution and maturity of procurement capability, as well as coach and develop the procurement category management team through the development change journey

**What you need to be successful**:

- A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business / Commerce or Economics together with at least 15 years’ experience in strategic procurement roles
- Advanced people leadership experience in a complex and large corporate environment
- Experience in designing and implementing strategic Procurement activities along the end-to-end value chain including demand management, sourcing, fulfilment and management
- Demonstrated strong commercial acumen in a supply chain and or procurement context within large organisations
- The ability to credibly engage and influence stakeholders including C-level
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills supporting high-quality delivery to General Manager and Executive level
- Demonstrated experience with best practice people management, talent development and performance management practices
- Demonstrate extensive in-depth commercial negotiation capability and guide category management team towards innovative approaches that will yield best value for money for the organisation.
