The successful applicant will be supporting the enhancements required to the collaborative procurement and contracting framework and assisting with procurement of major transport civil construction projects, You will be liaising with project teams, preparing tender documentation for release to market, evaluating tenders and providing analysis and advice with regard to key government policy and other requirements to enable contract award. You will monitor, measure and manage to compliance information to facilitate standardised monitoring and reporting.

**Accountabilities include**:

- Contribute to strategic policy processes by monitoring interstate and overseas research on trends, including best practice and performance affecting infrastructure procurement policy and delivery models. Analysing and advising teams about appropriate procurement and supply chain strategies for major transport civil construction projects to minimise risk and ensure value for money
- Supporting project teams to prepare tender documentation for release to market, ensuring alignment to key departmental procurement strategies
- Supporting Tender Evaluation Panels through providing advice and analysis, and recommendations about key government legislative/policy and other requirements.
- Monitoring, measuring and managing key government legislative/policy other other requirements to ensure major project delivery optimisation.
- Analysing data and trends from key result areas and measures to identify opportunities improve and enhance current program development and project delivery.
- Contributing to the development and monitoring of contract and supplier performance, evaluation and reporting strategies that focus on rewarding good performance.
- Advanced skills in internal and external networking and relationships to facilitate the implementation of sound procurement practices.
- Prepare Ministerial Briefing Papers, Reports and sensitive correspondence for endorsement by the DDG IMD in relation to major transport civil construction projects and their procurement strategies.
