**THE OPPORTUNITY**
We are seeking a Pricing Manager to join our Legal Operations team to be based in any of our Australian offices (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth).
Reporting to the Head of Pricing and Analysis, you will work as a trusted adviser to the Australian Partnership in relation to pricing decisions and issues. You’ll be providing expert advice in relation to new business and ensuring financial performance of new pricing agreements.
Day-to-day you will also:
- Support and influence partners and senior associates with their decision-making on pricing
- Manage and provide pricing support for panels and client relationship tenders
- Provide tactical pricing support for contentious and non-contentious pricing opportunities across Australia
- Undertake financial modelling and scenario analysis to support pricing decisions - client and matter-based pricing
- Support the firm's pricing approval process
- Build relationships of trust and respect within the firm to become a trusted adviser
- Share responsibility of leading the teams pricing analyst and graduates. Including setting KPI’s, reviewing performance, and ensuring focus is directed toward achieving relevant outcomes and providing maximum value to the firm.
**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate undergraduate/post graduate degree qualification
- At least 3 years’ experience of working in a financial or business development role in a professional services environment, ideally in a pricing-related role in a law firm
- A good understanding of Alternative fee arrangements utilised in law firm pricing
- Extremely numerate, with the proven ability to convert complex/raw data into concise and actionable intelligence
- High level of understanding of law firm economics and fee models
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and relationship building skills including experience in building strong relationships of trust with senior stakeholders and/or clients
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience in delivering training sessions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient excel skills

**The team**:
Our Corporate services group is comprised of a number of teams from the firm's central management functions, which support key activities both within the firm and in the external market. They coordinate common initiatives, improve communication and drive greater efficiency across our operations. These teams are Legal Operations, Management Services, Pro bono and citizenship, Internal/external communications and the Programme Management Office (PMO).
**Legal Operations**
In response to the needs of clients, we have combined specialist skills that provide a range of critical business support services for our clients and their in-house lawyers, notably legal project management, pricing, research, innovation and contract automation services. This single integrated team, called Legal Operations, is a ‘single place’ where our clients and partners can go to access these services. As well as aligning to the needs of our clients, we aim to provide clients with greater certainty on commercial outcomes in matters (price, budget) and greater efficiency in delivery (time, cost and scope). Additionally, we bring innovation, automation and process improvement in our service to clients, both to drive efficiency and build opportunities to transform the client's business and operating environment. Our goal is to make Legal Operations easy to access for our clients and partners, give them a consistently positive experience, and provide exceptional service that meets and anticipates their needs.
