OUR CLIENT
My Client is an end to end logistics provider with a proud history delivering sea freight for Australian businesses. They provide a unique link to communities and businesses, allowing them to thrive whilst ensuring seamless service.
As part of the continued growth and transformation of this organisation, we are looking for a Pricing Manager who has experience in dealing with the customer, understands operations and who can use this experience to provide responsive and competitive pricing to its customers.
ROLE As the Pricing Manager you will focus on sustaining and growing profitability by partnering with our Logistics arm of the business to provide and execute strategic pricing analysis, build and maintain robust pricing models, and enact strong governance over pricing systems.
Specifically, you will:
- Transform data to insights and work with various cross-functional teams to implement innovative pricing strategies.
- Work closely with Operation team to design and cost bespoke service solutions
- Efficiently manage and prioritise pipeline of opportunities and ensure a high level of responsiveness to the business.
- Develop a robust pricing model with sufficient automation to enable a streamlined response to new pricing opportunities.
- Work closely with the Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to develop a detailed understanding of costs and other key operating metrics to ensure these are recovered through customer pricing schemes.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams as the Pricing SME for tenders and other proposals, including preparation and management of tender responses.
- Conduct analyses on sophisticated and open-ended questions balancing profitability and risk; presenting findings in a clear and concise manner to influence stakeholders across the business.
- Monitor margin and volume trends to identify key opportunities for generating growth.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The right person for this role is first and foremost someone who can work in an environment which requires you to be both responsive to the customer and also savvy with how you provide commercial options for their services. We want someone who can build strong relationships with all stakeholders to promote win win outcomes for all involved. You will be a driven individual who enjoys working with autonomy but is not afraid to put their hand up for support when needed.
Specifically we want:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant pricing experience.
- Prior experience in the logistics industry highly regarded but open to strong supply chain and Operational knowledge of the sector
- Excellent prioritisation and stakeholder management skills, responsiveness, with a strong sense of urgency
- Highly analytical with exceptional ability to organise, manipulate and interpret data from various sources
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Extensive D365, Power BI and Advanced Excel experience.
