Wholesale Sales Representative

Are you an ambitious and passionate Sales professional with demonstrated experience in the independent lawn, garden, gift or grocery category? We the Wild Plant Care is on a mission to rid the world of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and we're looking for a driven leader to spearhead the next stage of growth. We take pride in fostering a dynamic and collaborative relationship cross-category. This is a dynamic role that will play a key part in nurturing a close group of independent retailers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and Implement Sales Strategies:
- Autonomously execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share within the independent retailer segment.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships to expand the company's presence in the lawn and garden, gift and grocery industry.
Account Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing independent retailers.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term partnerships.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by retailers promptly.
New Business Development:
- Work with the broader team to prospect and acquire new independent retailers to grow the company's customer base.
- Conduct market research to identify potential leads and develop targeted sales pitches.
Sales Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing wholesale sales team focused on meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and training to ensure the team's success.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.
- Analyze sales data and market feedback to make informed decisions and adjustments to sales strategies.
Collaboration with Marketing:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and incentives to support sales efforts.
- Provide input on product development based on market trends and retailer feedback.
ABOUT YOU:
- A natural salesperson, you will be skilled at building relationships through impeccable written and verbal communication
- Possess a track record of successful wholesale sales management
- A strong attention to detail, particularly when it comes to maintaining CRM platforms
- Ability to analyze customer insights and product trends to inform sales approach
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Available for periodic interstate travel
- Access to a vehicle for on-the-road in person visits

Pay: $44,688.49 - $125,176.02 per year
