The **Women’s & Children’s Health Network** provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA’s largest maternity and obstetric service.

The **Friends of the Women's and Children's Hospital** is an incorporated association which undertakes a range of activities to raise funds to support the WCHN, including the operation of two shops within the **Women’s and Children’s Hospital** **(WCH)**.

The **Friends of the WCHN** has been fundraising for the hospital since 1927. During this time, over 17 million dollars has been donated to support research projects, staff development, and the purchase of important medical equipment. The Friends continue to provide a valuable link between the** Women’s and Children’s Health Network** and the South Australian community.

**The Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity exists within the **Consumer and Community Engagement Division** for a **Shops Coordinator, WHA6** to join the team on a **long term** contract, working at a **part time** capacity.

The **Shops Coordinator** will play a key coordination role for the planning and delivery of a range of operational, administrative and marketing functions that support the ongoing operation and continual improvement of the Rainbows and Vic’s volunteer shops run by the Friends.

The** Shops Coordinator** is responsible for a high standard of work, providing a timely efficient and effective general service and undertaking duties in a range of activity areas as described in this Role Description.

The **Shops Coordinator** is responsible for supervision and on the floor coordination of the day to day operations of the shops to maximise efficiency and safety. This includes financial reporting, receipt of goods, salad, sandwich and other food item production, dishwashing, barista and maintenance of a clean and hygienic environment.

The incumbent is responsible for volunteer training and ensuring compliance with the Shops Auxiliary Divisions Food Safety Plan.

The success of this position will depend on the effective relationships developed between the **Shops Coordinator, **the Shops Supervisor and shop team leaders (volunteers).
