This role requires a collaborative leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead the change management process to embed the PTW system into daily operations.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training for employees and contractors on PTW compliance and best practices.
- Support hazard identification, audits, and incident investigations to improve PTW outcomes.
- Collaborate with maintenance, planning, WHS, and contractor teams to integrate permits into shutdowns and scheduled work.
- Ensure record‑keeping and compliance align with legislative and SIMEC standards.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps, recommending improvements, and sharing best practices across the business.
About You
- Experience in the resources or heavy industry sector, with strong technical capability.
- In‑depth understanding of WHS management systems, permit to work processes, and legislative requirements.
- Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to influence at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to analyse data and implement pragmatic solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to auditing and WHS qualifications desirable.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a commitment to safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
