**The Company**

Our client is a long standing FMCG wholesale distribution business of over 35 years, based in Prestons. They distribute and supply a variety of products including personal care, cleaning and household products across a number of retail channels.

**The Role**

Due to continued growth in the business, there is an opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join the team.

**Responsibilities**

Strategic and leadership responsibility for the sales function;
- Managing 5-6 direct reports and wider team indirectly
- Full responsibility of sales team including budget setting, sales forecasting and sector analysis
- Leading the national sales effort; supervising, monitoring and motivating team performance
- Management and delivery of agreed strategic plans and sales strategy
- Involvement in preparing action plans for individuals
- Key liaison for the development and implementation of strategic sales plans
- Some interstate travel as required
- Grow export sales

**Skills and Experience**
- 5+ years' sales management experience within FMCG or another product-based sales environment
- Prior experience in an export based sales environment will be beneficial
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, changing, and fast paced environment
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Strong IT skills
