**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Superintendent Projects, you will lead a team of Construction Supervisors, Specialist Engineers and Coordinators along with our contractor partners, to successfully deliver projects within Nickel West Kwinana with a focus on customer expectations, HSE, processes, standards, quality and cost. Through supportive leadership and ongoing development of your team you will encourage teams to deliver sustainable, quality and customer based outcomes which align to the Kwinana Capital Portfolio and focus primarily on Electrical and Instrumentation projects.

**_This role will be based at Kwinana on a Monday to Friday basis, offering exceptional flexibility and lifestyle._**

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Contribution to the BHP Field leadership programme, safety initiatives and well-being of all others by actively understanding, identify and addressing observations throughout all aspects of the project lifecycle
- Demonstrating fit for purpose management skills utilising the small project management framework based on sound project management practices
- Develop project scopes from feasibility through to detailed design
- Participate in / conduct HAZOP design reviews Monitoring and governing project performance, controls and deviations
- Produce accurate and comprehensive cost estimates, track project spend and provide forecast spend profile
- Provide detail project schedules and plan schedule outages with mínimal disruption to plant
- Exploring best fit solutions for projects iteratively across the lifecycle
- Manage, mentor and train execution teams of internal and external service providers (EPCM team and project owners) to deliver multiple concurrent projects

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualified Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Electrical and/or Instrumentation
- Project and programme management experience (up to $20M) in brownfield environments (i.e. Operating plants)
- Fully conversant with the electrical engineering standards AS3000
- Exposure to Major Hazardous Facilities is advantageous with experience in safety instrumented systems and SIL rated equipment
- Demonstrated experience developing and leading a small team
- Delivery focused, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the skills and ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge and understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation engineering design principles, compliance to standards and ability to develop detailed scopes for execution in a brownfield environment
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and WA Mines Regulations
- Demonstrate clear ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team to execute multi-disciplinary projects
- Well-developed projects process, planning and financial competencies in order to effectively promote and guide project value propositions
- Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership’
