Are you an experienced and organised scheduling / rostering officer looking for a temporary assignment in a not-for-profit organisation? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you
Our client is a leading provider of community services in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide. They are seeking a scheduling / rostering officer to join their team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of extension or permanency.
**Your new role**
As a scheduling / rostering officer, you will be responsible for:
- Creating and updating rosters for staff and volunteers across various programs and locations
- Liaising with agencies to source temporary resources as needed
- Managing the day-to-day rostering operations to ensure appropriate staff levels and quality of service delivery
- Planning ahead to ensure roster coverage especially during peak leave times and public holidays
- Ensuring appropriate use of skill set when rostering staff and volunteers based on consumer needs, liaising with consultants as required
- Coordinating with the office coordinator or relevant people leaders on the leave processes and ensuring they are captured in the rostering system
- Identifying staffing issues and notifying management in a timely manner
- Assisting in scheduling of the feedback review framework for staff and volunteers
- Sorting incoming and outgoing mail and assisting with collating and distributing
- Assisting with processing consumer information and updating as required
- Providing administrative support as required (typing correspondence, word processing, updating lists and mail outs, and other tasks as directed by office coordinator)
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar scheduling / rostering role, preferably in the not-for-profit sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with staff, volunteers, consumers, and external stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- A positive and flexible attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A current police check or willingness to obtain
