We are seeking an APS5 Facilities Officer to work for a federal government client, on an 11-month contract.

You will be an experienced Facilities Officer who can monitor, and coordinate programmed, reactive and project works performed by contractors and consultants to ensure their delivery is in accordance with specifications and contract conditions. You will be able to gain a good knowledge of site facilities and infrastructure and actively monitor the status of work using Maintenance and Project Management systems.

You will assist with documentation of site assets and monitor their condition as part of strategic asset management and planning and will also provide support for other team members by assisting with operational activities including provision of visitor and contractor access and performing administrative tasks.

As part of this role you will be required to work at other sites within the region when required and will participate in an after-hours ‘on call’ roster as well as emergency response requirements for the sites in the respective area.

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**

To be successful in this role you will have well developed stakeholder engagement and writing skills, sound negotiation and communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.

You will have relevant work experience in the delivery of facility management services, for a diverse range of complex and highly serviced research and support facilities and have the ability to work efficiently with a diverse operational team of property professionals across several sites.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience and appreciation of relevant procedures and protocols, compliance and statutory requirements associated with Federal, State and Local Government building and services codes, regulations and HSE requirements, is required.

A current motor vehicle license and ability to travel to multiple sites is essential.
