**About the role**:
Reporting to the National Lubricants Supply Chain Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Superintendent to join our Lubricants Production Team.

You will be responsible to lead and optimise the operations teams comprising of Production, Quality, Laboratory, Engineering & Maintenance teams with 5 direct reports. This role also has a national footprint in managing our bulk facilities based in Victoria and Western Australia.

You will play an important role in ensuring operational excellence and delivering incident free operations in a safe, secure, reliable and cost-effective manner.

**Key responsibilities;**
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure a safe, efficient, cost-effective operations, build organisation capability and positive culture.
- Ensure systems and procedures are well designed and implemented to achieve regulatory compliance and statutory governance requirements.
- Implement improvement strategies with a focus of asset and product integrity, systems, procedures and people to ensure reliable operations and supply chain performance.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to coordinate day to day activities, communicate, troubleshoot, management change or implement improvement initiatives.
- Manage risk profile of assets and monitor production and safety performance metrics.

**About you**:
You are a natural leader with proven experience in a similar role preferably within Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing/Maintenance and a sound knowledge of refinery/fuel and lubricants supply chains.

You will have a passion for safety, strong strategic planning and co-ordinating skills as well as the ability to make pragmatic, informed, risk-based decisions. In addition, you will possess a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to develop good working relations with key stakeholders.

This role suits individuals who are adaptable with a strong work ethic, holding increased ownership and accountability for business outcomes in a position that directly influences direction of activities and decisions onsite.

**Skills and experience**:

- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Tertiary qualifications in business or technical field
- Knowledge of relevant industry engineering and safety standards
- Sound knowledge of Trades Practices ACT and Industrial relations regulations
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong people leadership skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
