Overview:
**Your Role**
Due to an internal promotion and as part of our continual growth, our Property Claims Team are now seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Sydney team based out of our CBD office. This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis with hybrid flexibility arrangements available.
Working with the Leadership and Management team, this role will see you provide day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring to your team ensuring the delivery of a cost effective, professional and customer focused claims service, while developing staff and implementing quality initiatives. This role has a significant focus on leadership, customer service and continuous improvement.
**Responsibilities**:
**You will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following**
- Manage the day to day operations of the Property Claims team
- Provide leadership and direction to the Property Claims team
- Ensure the claims team delivers exceptional Customer Service in a manner that upholds the SIRA Customer Service Principles
- Ensure the delivery of cost effective, professional and customer-focused claims service
- Lead quality assurance activities, including audit results, data integrity, process refinements
- Lead Tier 1 activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives and prevent any recurring or systemic incidents
- Manage team performance in line with team targets and service level agreements
- Ensure appropriate team capability with effective recruitment and staff development planning
- Provide day-to-day management and technical expertise to the team
- Manage approvals outside of team delegations in relation to payments, letters, declinatures, mediations, etc
Qualifications:
**We’re interested in hearing from people who possess**
- At least 7 years of insurance experience including 3 years management experience
- Ability to build and develop business relationship with clients and Service Providers
- Ability to comply with relevant state legislation
- Insurance policy interpretation skills
- Stakeholder management
- Strong level of interpersonal skills
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Commitment to quality and accuracy ANZIIF Executive Certificate in General Insurance Claims or AQF Diploma of General insurance or industry equivalent (desirable)
