The organisation

One of Australia's mid size manufacturers of decorative products is looking for a highly proactive and motivated individual to help drive specifications with architects, designers and other similar key decision-makers. This company continues to grow very rapidly and part of this grow is now hiring someone locally for the Brisbane market, rather than have someone interstate fly in and out. The organisation provides scope for career advancement - if you generate so much sales you need someone else in Queensland, they are happy to oblige.

**Responsibilities**
- Building long term business relationships with leading architects, interior designers and specifiers
- Generate specifications for medium to large projects and follow this process closely to make sure the order is obtained
- Working closely with other team members and departments to secure business after specifications are obtained
- Driving sales and long term pipelines for the business
- Presentations to clients - one on one or in groups
- CRM and recording details of client meetings, prospects and follow up opportunities
- Tradeshow and trade evening events

**You are...**
- Able to demonstrate an ability to obtain specifications via consultative selling
- Ability to network extensively in order to uncover opportunities ahead of the competition and publication in BCI or Cordells
- Quickly come to terms with the aesthetic needs of the client and the company product range
- Previous study or experience in interior design, colour consulting or architecture is highly desirable, but not essential.
- Outstanding ability to discuss a wide range of product attributes, other than price
- Bring and/or build a close network of contacts and client relationships that lead to specifications
