**About the Role**:
The Annual Reporting Suite Manager is responsible for design, delivery and distribution of the six published documents comprising the Annual Reporting Suite.
Partnering with senior management, this role leads the Annual Reporting Suite team and broader contributor group to deliver essential and best practice reporting to shareholders, global stock exchanges, major stakeholders, governments, regulators and agencies. The role includes benchmarking, anticipating and managing complex issues and identifying risks, challenges and opportunities.
The role is directly accountable for the performance of the Annual Reporting Suite team and leads the strategic messaging, content structure, data collection, verification, certification and disclosure control processes through both specific direction and oversight. The Annual Reporting Suite Manager is equally responsible for day-to-day details and successful delivery of the program as a whole.
As an integral member of the Governance team, the role is accountable for providing highly effective leadership in shaping BHP’s annual reporting narrative and practices.
This position is based in the BHP Melbourne office with flexible work options available.
**In this role you will**:
- Develop, lead and manage the Annual Reporting Suite program of work including project planning timelines and master schedule, interdependencies, controls, risks and budget.
- Recruit, lead and manage the Annual Report Project Team to support successful delivery of the Annual Reporting Suite to the deadline, agreed quality standard and within budget.
- Lead engagement with key stakeholders including the Annual Report Committee (CEO, CFO, CLGEAO, Group CoSec) by initiating and chairing meetings and managing approval and change control processes regarding content and design of the Annual Reporting Suite.
- Support the Chairman’s Office with preparation of the Notice of Meeting and communication materials for Annual General Meeting.
- Provide strategic advice to writers, content contributors and other key stakeholders (both internal and external) to ensure the delivery of high-quality content that satisfies BHP’s reporting requirements and the expectations of the Annual Report Committee and the Board.
- Lead the Annual Reporting Suite Working Group and liaise directly with all contributors and external agencies and suppliers, to ensure efficient, accurate and timely provision of information for approval and assurance processes.
- Manage BHP’s disclosure controls over the Annual Reporting Suite and report to the Disclosure Committee on the effectiveness of those controls.
- Implement relevant system solutions, manage technical resources and administer BHP’s systems relating to the Annual Reporting Suite, including the content management system, design software, verification system and Annual Reporting Suite SharePoint site.
**About You**:
To be successful, you will have strong stakeholder management skills and previous experience managing or coordinating complex projects. A background in communications, corporate affairs or governance is preferred. Experience tracking content on a highly deadline-driven project with multiple stakeholders is essential.
Prior experience with an Annual Reporting process within a large corporate, including an understanding of reporting and disclosure requirements would be a distinct advantage.
It is essential you are competent in the use of MS Word, MS Excel and have prior experience using content management systems.
**About Our Process**:
At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role. As part of the recruitment process, there are a number of checks which may be conducted to demonstrate applicants suitability for a role including police / criminal background checks, medical, drug and alcohol testing, due diligence checks, right to work checks, and/or reference checks.
