C-Suite Partners is exclusively partnering with Nexus Hospitals for the appointment of their General Manager/Director of Nursing at Corymbia Day Hospital.

Corymbia Day Hospital is a premium specialist day hospital, providing ophthalmology, ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery, cosmetic, oral and maxillofacial surgery. Corymbia Day Hospital is well known for its patient-centered and evidence-based surgical care and excellent patient outcomes.

Reporting to the Operations Director, The General Manager/Director of Nursing is responsible for leading and inspiring the hospital team to deliver outstanding clinical and commercial outcomes as well as patient experiences by ensuring the highest standards of clinical supervision, governance, safety and operational excellence are achieved.

**Key Requirements**:

- Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Senior Nurse Unit Manager or Director of Nursing at a similar or larger sized site
- Desire to work as part of a collaborative team where respect and cooperation are paramount
- Demonstrable experience in leadership, operational, financial and people management
- Ability to assess a situation through investigation and identify key issues and implement a solution focused outcome
- Proven track record in achieving commercial results
- Ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement
- Flexibility to adapt and respond to changes in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight time-frames as part of a core management team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and pro-active team player
- Strong leadership capabilities including training, mentoring and developing staff
- A proactive "make it happen” approach
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Willingness and ability to act in a direct clinical capacity should circumstances require it

**Background and Qualifications**:

- Tertiary Qualification in Nursing, Health Service Management or similar
- Working knowledge and understanding of Australian National Standards for Safety & Quality
- Working knowledge of clinical and non-clinical Awards/industrial instruments
- Meet the requirements for registration as Director of Nursing of a Private Health Facility in the relevant jurisdiction
