The MSO is seeking a passionate Grants and Reporting Lead to advance the MSO’s vision for creating music that matters to all Victorians.

This position contributes to the MSO’s sustainable revenue growth by successfully managing the grants portfolio across philanthropic trusts, foundations and government. Key accountabilities including prospecting, securing, servicing and acquittal of institutional grants, and providing exceptional stakeholder management of current and potential funders. This role also coordinates annual reporting requirements for government funders and assists with supporter stewardship and events. Reporting to the Head of Development, this role works closely with the Chief Operating Officer and across departments to ensure funding alignment with organisational priorities.

This is an exciting time to be joining the MSO and a fantastic opportunity for a passionate fundraising professional. Working closely within a dedicated team, this role will be well suited to a self-starter looking to make a positive contribution to a much-loved cultural icon.

**The successful applicant will possess the following**:

- Demonstrated grant seeking experience and success
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills
- Outstanding relationship cultivation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across a diversity of teams, including Artistic Planning and Learning and Engagement
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver outstanding results with competing priorities in a high-paced environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and/or other similar software programs
- Strengths in navigating data and CRM databases (Tessitura experience would be an advantage).
- Flexibility to work outside of normal hours e.g. evenings, weekends, public holidays on occasion
- An appreciation of the arts/classical music
