Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a
**APS6 Program Support (Team Leader)** for a 12 month assignment with high potential extension in an exciting newly formed team, in their Western Melbourne offices.
**About the Team**
The
**Younger People in Residential Aged Care (YPIRAC)** team is part of the newly formed YPIRAC/Hospital Interface Branch. The YPIRAC team provides specialised support for people with disability who are living in, or at risk of permanently entering aged care facilities. The team plays a key role in the implementation of the government's YPIRAC Strategy for participants aged under 65 years. The team works with health liaison officers (HLO), Agency Policy and Mainstream Interface teams, and National Delivery.
The Hospital Interface team provides an important link between state and territory hospital staff and the Agency. The team works with hospital staff to ensure participants who are medically ready for discharge have the right supports in place when returning to the community. The team works with planners, participants and hospital staff.
**About the Role**
The
**APS6 Program Support Officer** is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work related to national and branch deliverables, delivering quality outcomes guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards and performance metrics. It is a team membership position that may be required to perform work that involves team leadership and management responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and managing workflows of a team.
The
**APS6 Program Support Officer** will provide detailed professional, operational support and advice that will enable Service Delivery to perform to a high standard and deliver quality outcomes. It may be required to coordinate and assist in strategic planning and support as well as program and project management in order to support the Agency's key objective to support and uplift those living with disability.
**Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:
- Leading and/or managing staff responsible for providing business administration support, expertise and/or technical knowledge across a range of activities including systems, workload management, people performance, financial, staff lifecycle, knowledge and change management.
- Providing accurate and specialised advice, ensuring knowledge of and compliance with relevant legislation and policy frameworks across multiple portfolios.
- Assessing and maintaining quality processes and documentation relating to service delivery, ensuring alignment to legislation and policy, and utilising change and risk management principles to ensure impacts are communicated to relevant parties.
- Coordinating and analysing data and written information for the purposes of drafting branch level communications and/or high level internal and external communications including reports, advice, presentations and communications for Ministerial, Parliamentary and executive responses.
- Collecting and auditing workforce planning and capacity data, reporting on staff lifecycle and confirming against financial, systems and people performance data.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation, from data analysis to creating initiatives to provide efficiencies for the branch.

- APS6 $58.50/ph + super
- Temporary contract for 12 months, with high possibility of extension
- Standard Full Time hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
