**Why This Role?**
The Business Support Team (BST) within Mining Plus provide support to our technical personnel and we combine to form a committed and innovative global team. We are responsible for functions including commercial, human resources, accounts, project controls, IT, business systems, HSEQ, and marketing.
The _Project Administrator_ supports Project Managers and the commercial team across multiple projects by helping administrate projects, tracking progress and financials, assisting with progress reports, and training staff in the project management software.
This **full-time** role collaborates with the technical team and administrative team to keep projects running smoothly.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Monitor, coordinate, and administer projects that require support
- Support project startup and closure
- Assist in establishing and maintaining the project budget, including compliance with change control procedures
- Prepare progress reports
- Coordinate between accounts and project managers in completing billing tasks
- Recommend and execute corrective actions to handle project compliance
- Assist with creating, issuing, maintaining, and tracking project documents eg. proposals, service agreements, service orders, change orders/ variations, and Purchase Orders.
- Coordinate and attend internal project kick-off meetings as requested/required.
- Ensure the subcontractor process is followed, Purchase Orders are raised, and costs or hours are entered on projects
- Train team members in the project management software
- Document processes and procedures for project manager training materials
- Conduct internal audits of the Company’s business systems
- Provide other assistance within the Business Support Team
**Competencies and Skills**:
- Attention to detail and good numeracy skills
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, proofreading and editing skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
**Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities**:
- 2 years of experience with a focus on administrative coordination
- Industry-related experience would be beneficial preferably in a mining, engineering, or construction environment
- Experience in project management software/databases
- Familiar with project cost control, finance, planning, scheduling, and reporting as well as procurement/contracts, material management/coordination, and document control
- A Bachelor Degree in a relevant field will be highly regarded
- Must be legally eligible to work in Australia
