A fantastic opportunity is available for a Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join our specialist Sleep and Respiratory practice.

The role
You will provide reception/secretarial support to our physicians and visiting specialists. You will deliver the highest level of customer service and patient care. Your days will be busy and varied, requiring effective planning, preparation and time management.

Responsibilities include:

- Welcoming patients to the clinic and registering new patients
- Answering telephone enquiries
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Generating patient accounts
- Preparing for consulting clinics
- Liaising with internal and external health professionals/services
- Distributing results and correspondence
- Medicare/DVA billing and claiming
- Electronic records management

About you
You will be a team player with previous medical administration experience and a strong customer service focus. Always a step ahead, you will enjoy assisting and exceeding the expectations of our patients, doctors and referring practitioners. You will be comfortable working both on your own and within a team. Your flexible approach, calm demeanour and exceptional time management skills will see you succeed in this fast-paced role.
Essential requirements:

- Friendly, caring, proactive personality
- Outstanding customer service skills
- High level of computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities - be organised
- Willingness to jump in and assist work colleagues when needed
- Exceptional communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Flexibility to work at our Camberwell practice, when needed
- Professional Presentation

Previous experience in medical administration will be highly regarded. Experience with Zedmed software, is desirable but not essential.
