Customer Service Officer - Building and Construction Industry

**ESTABLISHED BRAND NAME IN AUSTRALIA**
Founded as a business over 100+ years ago and employing over 100+ staff across Australia, our clients are one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of construction products to the painting industry. The company has offices and workshop facilities across the major state capitals, and are presently seeking to expand their internal customer service team in their HQ in Hallam, Melbourne.

**THE ROLE**
Based in their Hallam office, and reporting back into the Internals Sales/Customer service manager, this individual will provide crucial support for both clients and the field sales team across the state; dealing with pricing, quotations, booking service calls, and sales order data entry, the role will operate in a highly autonomous fashion, ensuring the smooth running of the sales and technical functions of the local operations.

A strong focus of this role will be the ability to process and enter the data of sales order from the external sales representative and manage any inbound customer service queries.

**THE CANDIDATE**
- Based in Hallam or surrounding areas, you will have the ability to commute to their office location daily.
- You will arrive with a strong background in customer service and have a focus on customer support and sales order data entry.
- Prior experience of having worked within the construction industry in a similar role is a preferable but not a must. If you have a genuine interest in building, carpentry or other related trades we would like to hear from you
- You will come with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- You will thrive in an environment where you have to multitask and work with a high attention to detail level.
