**About the role**
The Advisor of the Accreditation and Audit team will provide excellent customer support to ACIC accredited bodies to ensure they remain compliant with their contractual obligations and to minimise risk to the Service.
- Conducts regular audits to assess each accredited body’s operation, procedures, practices and documents to ensure they adhere to the requirements of the Service.
- Manages education and action plans in response to adverse audit findings.
- Interprets and applies legislation, contractual guidelines, policy and government standards to support business processes.
- Undertakes systematic analysis in relation to the operation, procedures, practices and documents of individual accredited bodies to define and analyse possible risks to the Service.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to identify their business needs, reach agreement on the business objectives and gain commitment to achieving results.
- Undertakes contract management, including preparation of complex contracts and providing contractual advice.
- Uses strong written and oral communication skills to develop communication material for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepares moderately complex to complex correspondence, reports and briefing material.

**Desirable qualifications**
- Certificate IV in Government investigations background preferred but not mandatory.

**Eligibility**
- **Citizenship** - To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
- **Security Clearance** - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
- **Vaccination Status** - To be eligible to work at the ACIC, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
