**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**The position**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Waste Management Officer to assist in the operation of Council’s waste and recycling business.

Reporting to the Coordinator Resource Recovery, the position of Waste Management Officer is responsible for providing a high level of labouring and plant operation support to contribute to the efficient delivery of waste management services to the community, while maintaining a professional and courteous public image.

**To be successful you will bring**

- Class C driver licence with the ability to operate manual transmission.
- Experience in the waste management industry.
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to undertake physical labouring duties.
- Proven good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Willingness and ability to work rostered shifts; including regular work outside normal working hours.

**The rewards**
- A salary range of $57,500 to $88,200 (plus superannuation) dependent upon shifts (higher weekend penalty rates), working arrangement, skills and experience.
