**Customer Service Officer Role**

**What's on offer**:

- Monday to Friday, Shift hours: Between 7.30am to 4pm
- 38 hours/ week
- Ongoing assignment with perm opportunity after 6 months
- Immediate start
- Opportunities for training and upskilling
- On-site parking available
- Gain and maintain competent technical product knowledge across the 1000 active and 1000 complementing line items.
- Provide technical assistance to clients.
- Instigate purchase requisitions for 'Specials' and non-stock items, to meet sales order requirements.
- Initiate investigations on stock discrepancies.
- Process telephone sales, by taking orders, providing over the phone quotations, and attending to other sales related activities.
- Attend to 'Collect' customers, raise necessary packing slips, invoices and transact various payment methods.
- Generate computer-based packing slips and back orders for picking by warehouse personnel.
- Calculate costing on quotes and generate invoices.
- Process Customer Credit Claim documents.
- Report on Sales statistics.
- Maintain filing system of sales documentation.
- Generate and maintain Customer Pricing Schedules and ensure System reflects the current status.
- Contribute to the provision of a safe working environment.
- Actively support requirements of the company's quality systems.
- Continually review work practice and recommend ways in which practice, systems and/ or processes can be improved.
- Participate in activities that address on improving performance and actively promote improvement.
- Improve both internal and external customer focus.
- Liaise with internal suppliers to confirm supply status.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in similar role
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment where work is shared to achieve deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
- Good computer literacy - Microsoft Dynamics.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service orientation and sound time management skills.
- Understanding of safety responsibilities.
