**THE WHO, THE WHAT AND THE WHERE**
Our client is a communication systems provider, servicing a broad range of major sectors. They pride themselves on their customer focus, amazing technical competence and international standard quality assurance. This small team forms a part of a multi-national electronics and communications company, who are steadily growing into an international power-house in the technology sector. The warehouse is currently located in the Northern Suburbs however, they will be moving close to the airport towards the end of the year.
This is your chance to work in the supportive team environment you expect in a small company, but with the excellent growth prospects of a large company in the always-evolving technology sector.
**WHAT’S INVOLVED?**
Basically, we need someone who can take charge of all the day-to-day operations in the warehouse. Including logistics, procurement and inventory management. You will be responsible for:
- Determining work requirements and allocating duties to the logistics team
- Monitor and review dispatch goods receipt processes to ensure compliance with company procedures, customers standards and industry best practice
- Develop and propose strategies to reduce costs and improve warehouse procedures
- Maintain up to date and accurate inventory records
- Ensuring there are appropriate levels of stock to meet demands at all times
- Create and provide detailed inventory reports on a monthly basis and when required
- Co-ordinate the weekly review meetings of open orders ensuring all relevant communications are made, issues raised, orders closed, invoices completed, processes followed etc.
- Coordinate the rental and repair process including dispatch and return of items and follow up anything that is outstanding
- Ensuring the business is compliant with all monthly and annual safety audit requirements, develop strategies and initiatives to improve safety
- Other general administration and operations tasks such as record keeping, reporting, new employee inductions, overall management
**SO DO YOU ‘CUT THE MUSTARD’ BY HAVING THE FOLLOWING**:
You will need 2-5 years of previous experience working in a warehouse/logistics supervisory or leadership position along with experience in managing workplace safety requirements and inventory management. Here’s what else will excite us:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Second to none problem solving skills and the ability to settle on a decision
- The ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- You’re a leader and can manage a team well
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
- The ability to manage expenses and cost control
If you have qualifications in supply chain management, business operations and/or experience working within the radio communications industry, you’re already a step ahead.
