Let’s talk about the role
- Reporting to the Head of Culture and Capability you’ll play an important role in ensuring we manage the risks around workplace safety and our employee’s health and wellbeing. Your experience in health and safety and passion for developing enterprise
- wide behaviour change interventions will support the organisational capability team as we evolve our culture and employee experience._
- You will use data to drive insights and decision to make sure we measure and impact what matters most to the wellbeing and safety of our people. You will be responsible for our internal and external compliance and reporting requirements._

Safety: Provide a safe workplace & comply with WHS Legislation
- Work closely with key stakeholders including HR Business Partners, facilities and people leaders to provide support and technical guidance to the business and ensure programs are effectively implemented and maintained
- Develop, prepare and implement policies and procedures that establish and contribute to a culture of Wellbeing, Health & Safety
- Identify and assess hazards, and take steps to implement controls to eliminate or minimise risk
- Drive compliance across sites to both local regulatory requirements and the WHS strategy
- Follow up on all incidents and injuries and conduct incident investigations as required
- Support building management & facilities to implement the Emergency Preparedness, First Aid and Contractor Management Programs
- Point of contact for any regulator activity/notifications
- Co-ordinate the Health and Safety Committee & HSRs

Workers Compensation & Rehabilitation
- Be responsible for everything to do with workers compensation
- Develop return to work programs for both work and non-work-related injuries and illnesses
- Proactively develop and maintain systems to support positive return to work outcomes for our people
- Partner with key leaders across our business to identify how we can support them and their teams for success
- Provide ergonomic support and solutions

Wellbeing
- Develop and implement best practice wellbeing and mental health models and programs
- Provide expert advice and strategic support across the enterprise to enable improved awareness and knowledge
- Consult and coach leaders to manage and embed behaviours including identification and support.
- Promote health and wellbeing initiatives and health related activities
- Use data to drive decision making and enable insight, awareness and action
- Provide reporting on relevant WHS data and performance metrics
- Deliver & co-ordinate relevant WHS training and education for employees and business leaders
- Contribute to creating an exceptional employee experience

- Ability to work with remote, cross-functional teams.
- Sound communication skills and ability to clearly articulate issues, needs and concerns in a way that can enable stakeholders to act.
- We don’t want to put a number on it; however, you can talk us through your past roles confidently in Wellbeing, Health & Safety
- Demonstrated experience in a WHS Advisory role
- Demonstrated experience planning and implementing multiple programs
- Ability to develop quality materials, frameworks, and toolkits to support behaviour change
- Current up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation, codes of practice, Australia standards, risk management, ergonomics, safety management systems & workers compensation
- Understanding of ergonomic principles
- Sound commercial acumen and an enabler in the business
- Ability to negotiate, motivate, influence, and build strong relationships
- Willingness to work closely with team members at all levels of the business
- Is a ‘people person’ who can develop truly effective relationships at all levels
- You are an enabler who prioritises and always delivers
