Carbon Asset Solutions Ltd (CAS) is a climate technology and data company. Its mission is to be the operating system to transition global agriculture into a climate solution. CAS operates the Carbon Asset Solutions Soil Carbon Methodology, a new global standard and registry under ISO. It is the world’s first precision, integrated digital Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) supply chain for soil-based Carbon Credits, Carbon Intensity Scores (CIS) and agronomic data that optimizes variable rate farming technologies.

**Role Overview and Key responsibilities**

The Sustainability Strategy Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Carbon Asset Solutions sustainability initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various departments to integrate sustainable practices into business operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and promoting a culture of sustainability within the organisation.

Working closely with the COO and leadership team, and guided by the Founders’ strategic intent, this role is crucial in advancing CAS’ mission to transform agriculture into a climate solution and become a global carbon credit player.

The role will provide expertise and represent CAS at various industry, community, business and policymaking events, effectively communicating, educating and inspiring on sustainability topics to diverse audiences.

The role collaborates with our technical experts, industry leaders, corporate partners, policymakers, and research institutions to enhance the delivery of CAS projects and initiatives. You will bring experience in sustainability, resilience, and environmental project leadership, including advocacy, design, delivery, and evaluation. You will have a deep understanding of complex environmental sustainability issues and a proven ability to develop innovative projects, solutions, and funding mechanisms.

You will have global experience and understanding of the carbon market and environmental legislation, regulation and policymaking, with a particular focus on the United Nations’ frameworks (Paris Agreement, Article 6, Sustainable Development Goals, COPs) and the EU, US and Australian market. You will have proven capacity to work in international policy and corporate settings based on cross-cultural competency and multilingual capabilities.

**Minimum requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental management, with preference for minor or project-based experience in global environmental policy and entrepreneurship.
- Working experience in the climate tech startup environment, with the proven capability to work in an interdisciplinary team, and implement entrepreneurial principles (cf. design thinking, innovation, sprint approach,) to develop and expand our climate tech offering.
- Multilingual proficiency to work with our international partners in the following languages: Dutch, French, and Spanish.
- Proven cross-cultural competency to work within our cross-cultural team and with our prospective international scaling.
- Profound understanding and working capacity of the international carbon market and regulation including EU, USA, Canada and Australia.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills to acquire and translate the complex sustainability content matter by deploying science communication and/or journalistic skills. Outputs include public speaking, written website content, press releases, webinars, whitepapers.
- Research or investigative capacity to develop, maintain and share a profound understanding of the global carbon markets with internal and external stakeholders.
- Profound understanding of and working capacity with the global policy setting mechanisms relevant to carbon market, emission reductions and trading including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Capacity to work independently ánd in team; pivot quickly and work on short deadline, ánd working on long-term projects.

Pay: Up to $95,000.00 per year
