Volunteer Opportunity to Shape Environmental Sustainability

We are seeking two new directors to join our board, bringing their expertise and passion for environmental sustainability to help shape the future of our organization.

As a member of our board, you will play a critical role in upholding our values, mission, and purpose. You will work collaboratively with our leadership team and other board members to ensure that we are achieving our goals and making a positive impact on the environment.

The key skills we are looking for in this recruitment round are:

  • Finance management and audit expertise
  • Digital marketing and campaign strategies
  • Deep understanding of cultural, political, economic, and social contexts of diverse communities

You will be asked to nominate which of these skills is your primary skill in the recruitment process. Additionally, you must be able to:

  • Fully commit to our mission, goal, and values
  • Display strong leadership qualities
  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Ask insightful questions and provide constructive feedback

Applicants should have sufficient time to effectively contribute to our board's work (approximately 15-20 hours per month). We encourage people from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, Indigenous peoples from the Pacific, people with disability, young people, women, neurodiverse individuals, non-binary people, gender diverse people, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply.

This is a voluntary position, although remuneration can be discussed with our remuneration committee during the interview process. The indicative timeline for recruitment includes applications closing soon, interviews being held in the following month, and our annual general meeting taking place later in the year.
