In doing so, you will contribute to innovative policy development that helps to deliver the government's priorities, support the development of longer-term policy directions and provide strategic advice and policy analysis to the Premier and Cabinet.

In this role you will get the opportunity to:

• Assist in identifying, developing and analysing complex policy options and advice on major economic policy issues

• Provide input to the monitoring and evaluation of policy development activities

• Manage requests for policy information, including the preparation of responses

• Prepare or contribute to the preparation of timely and well researched submissions, and on complex policy issues, including Cabinet submissions

• Liaise with other areas of the division, government departments, and nongovernment organisations on relevant policy issues

• Assist senior officers with the preparations for inter-departmental meetings, in conjunction with senior officers and represent the department at meetings as required.

Candidates should demonstrate experience in managing complex issues in a dynamic environment, taking responsibility for discrete areas of work, and collaborating as part of a larger team to deliver strategic priorities. Good knowledge of Cabinet processes and decision making and possession of relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.

To apply, please provide a tailored resume and a short cover letter (maximum one page) outlining your interest in the role and your relevant experience.
