**Your new role**

As the HSE Manager, you will manage a section of seven HSE professionals who provide advice and support across TfB. In this high-profile role within the organisation, you will regularly engage with senior executives, and will be responsible for supporting the organisation’s safety culture by providing leadership of the Zero Harm and environmental agendas. You will liaise with regulators on HSE matters and manage the implementation of the Safety and Environmental Management Systems. In this role you will liaise with Council’s corporate safety, wellness, health, and environmental areas to implement organisational policies and strategies in the context of TfB.

As TfB’s HSE Manager you will have a critical part in providing safety advice and support in respect to the Brisbane Metro, one of the most transformative transport projects to happen in Brisbane. You will also provide advice and support on emerging risks and industry trends which include TfB’s transition to a zero-emission fleet as Council evolves Brisbane’s bus fleet from diesel and Compressed Natural Gas to Battery Electric Vehicles.

The role has a weekly travel expectation of visiting sites within Brisbane Local Government Area. A Council vehicle will be supplied for all travel requirements. It would be beneficial to hold a valid driver’s licence to enable you to fulfil the travel requirements of this role.
