**Your new company**
A leading Australian food company are currently looking for a National Safety Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will require some travel.

**Your new role**
As the National Safety Manager your role will be to review, report and drive the culture of safety, health and governance across the company.

As a dynamic and influential WHS leader, you will drive safety strategy, lead and oversee safety and injury management systems and bring innovative ideas which will prove invaluable to striving to achieve zero injuries.

Key Position Responsibilities & Requirements:

- Execute the planned improvements of WHS practices across the business
- Lead and implement WHS best practices, providing WHS support and advice
- Champion a positive safety culture across operations and national support teams to drive WHS education and increased awareness
- Monitor safety performance and provide regular reports to management
- Conduct, coordinate, facilitate and review incident investigations, WHS audit and inspection programs
- Support return to work and rehabilitation functions
- Regularly assess safety / environmental risks within the workplace
- Achieve reductions in number of incidents, lost time injuries, workers compensation claims and public liability claims

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualifications WHS and/or related discipline
- Multi-site WHS operational experience in Retail, Food or Hospitality Industries
- Demonstrative ability to drive change and influence across the entire corporation including the Senior Leadership Team
- Proactive approach to safety culture
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety auditing procedures, corrective action plans, conducting investigations and risk assessments
- Knowledge and experience dealing with Regulatory bodies, Council and / or Environmental Health Officers
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and presenting training programs
