As **State Operations Manager**, you will work with one of Assetlink’s significant clients in the ACT. The role is based at the Canberra Centre, located in the northern section of the Canberra city - this is the largest and most prestigious shopping centre in the ACT.

The initial focus of the role is to own the key relationships with the Client at the Canberra Centre and to lead the on-site teams to deliver exceptional integrated services. You will deliver a high level of customer experience, service excellence and ensure financial, commercial, safety and people leadership objectives are met.

The longer-term objective will be to grow the ACT portfolio by building brand awareness, reputation and identifying new business partnerships.

**Operational leadership at Canberra Centre**
- Be the primary leader and owner of the Assetlink ACT operations
- Accountability for the delivery of exceptional integrated services at the Canberra Centre (cleaning, security, customer service and maintenance)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including 1 day on the weekend - essential
- Provide strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, training and inspiration to your teams
- Participate in regular meetings with the Client and stakeholders to report on performance related KPI's and operational matters
- Oversee all financials/budget and control the P&L
- Establish and build process and systems improvements in all facets of business operations

**Business Development in ACT**
- In conjunction with the Operations Leadership team, develop and implement a State-specific plan which aims to build the Assetlink portfolio and improve revenues and margins
- Drive strategic development and growth of the business and identification of potential new business in ACT
- Build brand awareness of the Assetlink value proposition
- Manage and proactively participate in all aspects of business development
- Secure new client contracts to achieve sales and profit targets to significantly expand the Assetlink business

- Proven experience in financial management, people management, and commercial success.
- Facilities management experience and a background within a retail environment
- Ability to multi-task, be flexible and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Can-do attitude with high energy and resilience
- Proactive approach and the ability to take ownership
- Advanced communications skills with all levels of the business
- Professional verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills
- Ability to work flexible hours to support your team and the client (including 1 day on the weekend)
