**Position Information**:
Parramatta Public School is situated in the progressive and rapidly expanding CBD of the city of Parramatta, bringing an exciting and dynamic energy to the school. The school is culturally diverse and has a student population of 731 with 96% having English as an additional language or dialect (representing 44 different languages spoken). The community is very aspirational and have high expectations for student outcomes.

Our school has learning hubs which incorporate, flexible teaching spaces with adaptable/moveable furniture and room configurations, and provide a range of indoor and outdoor spaces to encourage sport, and active and passive play. Integrating the best in environmental design. Our facilities also include a sustainably designed rooftop learning area, which includes solar panels and garden beds.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria,

1. Highly visible leader with demonstrated strong emotional intelligence to drive a collaborative team that builds staff capacity at all levels.

2. Able to build a strong and cohesive vision of public education with an understanding of the power of student leadership and the social emotional domain of High Potential and Gifted Education Policy.

3. Demonstrated ability to collaboratively and strategically lead the design and implementation of instructional leadership focused on explicit teaching, in close consultation with key stakeholders.

4. A strength based approach to support a diverse community and student population to ensure that every student can learn, grow and belong in an outstanding and equitable education system.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education

2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community

4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning

5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning

6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
