**THE ROLE**
The purpose of the State Sales Manager, NSW role is to provide strategic leadership across the state, leverage growth opportunities and develop a highly engaged field-based sales team across NSW.
This role will work closely with the LPG Business Sales leadership team, National Accounts team and the Customer Experience team to execute the growth strategy and develop a strong alignment with the operations teams to deliver profitable and sustainable growth across the region.
The position is responsible for the retention and acquisition of key accounts and major customer accounts utilising a field sales team; supported with the Business Sales Centre (telephone sales team) to manage the SME customer portfolio within the NSW region.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop a highly engaged sales team that delivers a high-performance sales culture across the NSW region
- Manage the Business customer portfolio across the NSW region
- Deliver the sales budget for Business customers across NSW
- Work closely with National Manager, Business Sales to set the strategic direction of the team and NSW region
- Coach, mentor, and manage a field-based sales team
- Ensure existing key accounts are maintained and contracted
- Work closely with the Business Sales Centre (telephone sales team) to manage the SME customer portfolio across the NSW region
- Develop a balanced and robust sales pipeline for new business opportunities
- Actively engage with the relationship management of the top 20 Major Customers across the NSW region
- Manage pricing matrix models, capital investment models and capital approval process for financial decision making to deliver targets
- Drive strategic initiatives to deliver an improved CX for Business customers
**ABOUT YOU**
We are also looking for someone with strong communication and stakeholder management skills to bridge the gap between the NSW sales team and the NSW operations/scheduling teams.
**To be considered for the role you will have**:
- 10+ years’ sales management experience
- Strong conceptual skills - able to develop ideas into operational frameworks
- Evidence of successful implementation of a diverse program of business activities across business units
- Excellent interpersonal skills and internal & external stakeholder management
- Strong change management skills
- Proven working experience in an agile sales environment
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
